** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT **
“We are very sorry to have to announce that this year’s BreakAway ball hockey tournament is canceled. We had to come to this decision due to a family medical complication. Once again we are sorry for this announcement, but hope you will stay tuned for future events.”
INTRODUCTION
Although all families and spectators are welcome, ball hockey tournaments are limited to children and youth ages 8 to 16. Teams are composed of a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 9 players (1 goalie, 4 to 8 players). Tournaments generally run from 9 am to 6 pm with prizes being awarded at the conclusion of the event.
REGISTRATION
There will be a limited number of teams eligible to play in the tournament, so please register early! Tournaments will be played in a four on four format, but you can register up to nine players per team. Games are 20 minutes in length and will be refereed by B.C.H.L. licensed referees. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams. The rules for tournament play and equipment required can be found here. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.
To be part of this tournament, each team member MUST come with a filled out and signed BreakAway waiver form and photo ID. Download the release form here.
You Must Register In One Of The Following Divisions:
▪Bronze Division: 8 to 10 Year Olds
▪Silver Division: 11 and 12 Year Olds
▪Gold Division: 13 and 14 Year Olds
▪Platinum Division: 15 and 16 Year Olds
Registration fees are $270 per team, with all fees going to Food For The Hungry.
DONATIONS
All visitors and spectators are encouraged to give a donation of any kind at the door. All donations go directly to helping at risk children and youth. Organizations participating with PLAY4LIFE will have staffed information tables at the tournament to answer any questions and provide material regarding their work.
